Nick Hughes

Nick has spent over twenty years working in the communications industry. Starting off in the advertising industry, Nick moved into the design world in 1991 and became a Director of GDO, part of Adventis plc. He co-founded and ran Kugel (now Siren) a design and marketing consultancy in 1995, building it into one of Design Week's Top 30 agencies before selling his shares in 2006. Upon doing so, Nick became a consultant Marketing Director working with SMEs and advising on strategy, planning and procurement. In 2008 Nick was listed in the Design Business Association's inaugural Experts Register and in the same year he trained as a coach, a skill he finds very useful when dealing with his two young children. He has recently finished his MBA at Cass Business school, gaining a distinction.

 

Nick is passionate about entrepreneurialism and is currently working with two agencies, advising on a wide range of issues including strategy, sales, attracting and retaining the best staff, leadership and exit strategies.
