Paul Comyn

Paul Comyn has over 30 years experience of building successful entrepreneurial businesses.

His greatest claim to fame was his part as FD in growing a successful media business called Southnews plc from a management buy-out for 3m to an exit for approximately 300m. It took fourteen years to get the result which was achieved with a combination of thirteen successful acquisitions and considerable organic growth.

Paul works through his own specialist consultancy firm and has also been involved in a number of management buy-outs and private equity backed projects over a range of sectors. He has had considerable experience in all aspects of business growth from raising finance, writing plans, communication with lenders/ investors, and making business acquisitions and disposals. More recently he helped to launch a new business which gives support to SME's with growing their businesses. Paul also spent a year in an Angel Investment firm raising funds from Angel Investors to hone his skills in raising funds for business start ups.

Paul is currently MD of Effective Finance Ltd , and Chairman of Bankside Consultants Ltd.
