Kelly Atkins

Kelly founded Carpet-Burns, a carpet recycling and product design business, in 2002. The sucess of Carpet-Burns lead to various innovation, design and business awards including Shell Live wire Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2003 and Royal Institute of Brtish Architect Innovaton Award in 2006. Kelly has exhibited her design work internationally and lectures at varous universities on the topic of entreprenership and sustainable design.
Atkins became a founding member and director for the Creative Industries Network (CIN), an East midlands based networking organisation for entrepreneurs within the creative industries. CIN is successful in providing training and support to over 500 creative businesses. Recently, Kelly became a business advisor specializing in creative industries and social enterprise offering business support, training and guidance to pre-start and early stage businesses specializing in accessing finance, marketing and intellectal property.
